Clinton Aims Barbs at Obama, McCain
After several days of subduing her attacks on Barack Obama and stressing that she would not comment on a Republican candidate until a general election, Hillary Clinton came out swinging at both Obama and Republican front-runner John McCain today.
“Sen. McCain has said it wouldn’t bother him if we left troops in Iraq for 100 years. Well, it would bother me if it takes us 100 days before we start bringing our troops home,” Clinton said to a crowd of thousands packed into a basketball stadium at the University of Arizona.
Mention of McCain’s name at the event in his home state of Arizona provoked booing and hissing from the crowd of Hillary supporters.
